Well done to both the girls - they have come so far and done so well, it's no wonder all those who care about them are delighted at their success. I wonder if anyone will think to let Jack know, or prefer to surprise him at the graduation ceremonies. I'm another who doesn't entirely trust Joey not to try and barge her way into Len's ceremony - I agree with AnneM who suggested it would be a good idea for Jack to hide her passport until after eveything is over.
Thanks, Terry, I'm continuing to enjoy this even if I don't post on each chapter.
Thank you for commenting.I confess to forgetting Jack in my excitement.hopefully have put that right.

Brilliant! I'm so glad for them both. And (this is really a comment on the previous chapter), how about Jack hiding Joey's passport somewhere so she really can't get to England and cause trouble? :)
Thanks for commenting.Hopefully Joey will behave over the graduations.

It seems that Joey has learned nothing at all and is oblivious to everything and everyone apart from what she wants.
Thank you, Terry

Lovely of Len and Ted to invite Jack to their graduation, when they did not have to do so. Madge's response was touching and she has done her best to support the girls, as have Hilda and Nell and Nancy and Kathie.
Hope Nancy is able to get to the bottom of Inter V's antics.

Glad that Madge has put down her foot with Joey who seems to be as self obsessed as ever, in her perceived role in the school and now the retirement celebrations.
I don't trust that Joey will behave herself if she does meet Len and Ted.

Good to see this back so soon. Look forward to reading all about the changes afoot.

Mmm - despite all Madge's efforts to prevent it, I'll be surprised if we get through all the various leaving ceremonies without Joey putting her two cents' worth in at at least one of them!!! Good idea to discount Mary Lou as one of the speech makers, given her links to Joey, but she is another who, if she is present, might well insert her two cents' worth despite everyone's best efforts to prevent it! I like the suggestions from other reviewers about which former head girls should speak, too.
Although it's sad, it's a good thing that Joey remains so obdurate in her attitude to Len. It should mean she will keep her promise not to approach the two girls if she sees them once they are working at the school - although why do I suspect ructions to erupt at some point if they do encounter each other?? But I hope that Len will indeed invite her father to her graduation and that he will attend.
Thank you for the comment,I suspect you might be right re Joey.

If Madge wants a Head Girl to give a speech, then why not the Head Girl who was Head Girl the year Hilda and Nell became Head. For Hilda that would be Louise Redfield (who is probably in the States) and for Nell, I think it was Elizabeth Arnett depending on whether you want the one in the term Nell came back early from her accident or Jessanne Gelibrand who was Head Girl the following term. Both those girls were English so would be fairly close by and should be able to come to the farewell dinner.
Thank you for the suggestion and taking the trouble to find out the names.

I love this new story line. Was sad when the first "Rebellion" ended. Keep it up.
Thank you, that's very nice of you, hope you like how they lives are changing. :0)

Len and Ted's suggestions for Nell and Hilda's leaving gift is inspired.
Hope there is not too much wrong with Inter V. Wondering who is it this year?
Thank you for commenting.
Glad you thought the present ideas were ok, real struggle to think of something :0)

Yay! Well done Len and Ted, happy that Madge took them out for dinner to celebrate- they had good ideas for presents too- hope Inter V aren't going to cause too many problems in Hilda and Nell's last term, looking forward to more...
Thanks Terry :-)

Good to see more of this universe, Terry, thank you. I fully understand why Hilda felt she had to give Len and Ted such stringent interviews before deciding to appoint them as the new teachers - I'm glad that they understood the reason. I'm sure Madge is pleased to have the chance to be the one tell the girls of their success herself.
Thank you for the review :0)
This term is preparing for all the changes to come, and of course, the retirement.

Great to see this back....thanks Terry :-)
Lovely to see Nell and Hilda's excitement at retiring- Nancy and Kathie are understandably nervous about taking over and Len and Ted making decisions about their future, looking forward to more...
