Vicky I think it is the only conversation Jack and Jem could have given Jack's state on health and mind.
I am sure that speaking about Jo and shedding tears will help Jack. The need to keep within himself may have kept him safe but it has only just allowed him to keep his mental health. The freedom from fear will need a long time to sink into his being and allow him to heal.
Thank you Vicky.

Thanks Vicky. I am pleased that you have got Jack safely home and that the local GP is so understanding. Jack certainly needs time before speaking to Jem. I would have thought by the time a letter gets to Molly and she is writing back to England then he will be fit to let others know he is alive.

Bless ! Poor Jack, what a way to find out about Bob. Really could see that whole journey, felt as though going along with him. Glad he is back with his family, hard as it will be to then have to restart life after such a time away. Thank you.

Glad he is at least thinking about getting back, he needs to be back with his family, he's hiding from Jo's death really at the moment. Well done Jack for the rescue. Very clear picture of the hotel collapsing here, could really see it. Thank you.

Poor Jack, glad he's able to be of some help and hasn't been interned. I can understand him wanting to tell his family personally but he should at least have let them know he was alive! He could have done it through the Red Cross.

Poor Jack. I am pleased he is safe. It is a pity that he can not work as a doctor, but at least he is still using his skills to help others. I hope he can go home when France is freed and does not have to wait until VE Day.
I hope he knows about the D Day landings.
