I'm glad to see that in the end, Jo has accepted it's better for her not to try and feed Stephen at night, and that Jem has been able to explain to her just why her own illness makes it necessary for her to rest so much more than other new mothers might have to do. I think his calm and very reasonable talk there will have done a lot to reassure Jo and help her to understand that taking care of her own medical needs will benefit her in the long run - and that there is no way that this makes her a failure as a mother. It's a testimony to just how tired she still is that she dozes off so quickly afterwards, too.
Thanks, Vick -I'm continuing to enjoy this even if I don' post very often.
