Poor Jo- going back into the San again, for whatever reason, must undoubtably hold a lot of traumatic memories for her, especially as it must be associated so much for her with her escapes from Austria and Guernsey.

Gosh, poor Jo. I would think the worst thing for her will be not being able to do anything as that only leaves thinking! Can't help but feel that Jem is providing the wrong treatment there.

I'm anxiously awaiting the birth, Vick! And very much enjoying your story too!

Thank you, and understandable that Jo would worry. Jack is lovely as always.

Poor Jo - and poor Jack too; it's very hard on him when she withdraws from him like that.  Hopefully his presence in her hospital room this afternoon will help her (without triggering a migraine for him, I hope).  And notwithstanding the fact that he would like her to be on complete bedrest, I think Jem would be wise to allow her a hour's writing time each day - being able to write down her hopes and fears will probably be her best help here.

Thanks, Vick.

Aww, poor Jo. I can understand her needing to pull away from people. But I do worry about the wisdom of Jem not letting her do anything at all. I'd go mad with all that time to just ruminate!

Jem you are going to have to let Jo write again or read. Good thing Jack is there to visit and the girls can go on the weekend.

Thanks Vicky.
