Poor Joey, Jem was rather harsh with her. He should explain his thought processes to her rather than snapping at her and risking upsetting her. Still, it's nice to see how much he cares about her.

Poor Jem, he's walking such a fine line here between doctor and father, and now that Jack has gone he must feel even more alone in it than ever. I hope that he can keep being strong for Jo.

Thankyou!

Thanks Vicky. Hope Jo can go three months next time and recovers her strength quickly this time.

Poor Jo - ever since she was small she's been unable to take any chances if she does catch cold; it's no wonder she was discouraged by Jem's insistence on this additional pneumothorax treatment.  I'm glad she got such a good night's sleep afterwards though and Jem was happy enough with her condition the next morning to take her back to her own home, even though she'd be alone, and not insist on her going to the Round House for a night.  It's good that Madge is able to spend one night a week with her, as well as her having the girls' company at weekends.  However, if the winter proves to be a harsh one, confining her too completely to the house, I have visions of her going well and truly stir crazy!

Thanks, Vick.

Thanks Vick, I like seeing Jem's point of view here and also the way you have shown that though Joey knew him as family, at work he would be Dr Russell. I like seeing her feeling like runnung away - there us always that moment in medical situations where it is so tempting just to say no, I don't want to thanks, I'm going home, see ya! You have captured Jo's feelings really well. Thank you :-)
