Just read this through in one go and really enjoyed it. I always liked Rosalie and love the concept of her double life. Ridiculous as it sounds, it all seems completely plausible! Hope you do decide to do her further adventures. Thanks shesings.
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed Rosalie's adventures, Josie! I hope Rosalie has more adventures and one or two ideas are bubbling

I’m glad Rosalie could help Miss Bubb at least have some comfort and the connection at least meaning some financial help. Thank you for the story, and I agree Rosalie needs more adventures !! :-)
Author's Response: Thanks, Beecharmer! One or two ideas have suggested themselves.....

I've been following this in LGM, admittedly without commenting much - but really enjoying it - I've always loved your concept of Rosalie's double life, Shesings! But how on earth did I miss the reference in the last line? It may date me, but I'll now be humming the "Harry Lime" theme for the rest of the day!!
Author's Response: Sorry, Elder, just couldn't resist the 'Third Man' link!

Thank you, Shesings! This is fantastic - having been directed to it through the FB group I have just read it from beginning to end. I do hope there will be some more soon :-)
Author's Response: Sorry not to reply sooner but thank you for your lovely review.

Thank you for more, I like the idea of Mary Lou and Elinor Pennel as agents. I now have a great image of her saying "the name's Lou... Mary...Lou" ...
Author's Response: You've given me a strange idea, Beecharmer!

Oh, I have just spent a very pleasant hour re-reading from the beginning. Thank you for this story - I'm really enjoying it and looking forward to more. I hope they can track down Biddy's brother somehow... and I must confess a vulgar curiosity of my own about Miss Bubb and Edmund Greystone...
Author's Response: Thanks, crm, and I think Rosalie's vulgar curiosity might just prevail.............

Thnaks so much for updating Rosalie's "secret life". Went back to check something and ended up re-reading all of this and also the Meg Kelly chronicles - a wonderful couple of evenings. I always felt a bit sorry for Rosalie, she seemed to be one of the background cast who never quite got the recognition she deserved however perhaps this is a requirement for a good undercover agent as Frieda seems a similar character.
Author's Response: Thank you for commenting, Sian, glad you enjoyed your re-reads!

Good for rosalie, looking after everyone. Very understandable with Biddy and her accent. I was just thinking of this drabble the other day, nice to have it back!
Author's Response: Thanks, Beecharmer, and sorry for making you wait! I always thought that hanging on to a memory could be an explanation for Biddy's occasional Irish vocabulary!

Happy to see that, although this incident has ended satisfactorily, the story is not completed! Always knew there was more to Rosalie than appeared on the surface, so looking forward to finding out what else she's up to...

Great update and glad someone's stereotypes are being upset. Hopefully Rosalie, the wonderful secretary stereotype, won't give Hilda a heart attack by exercising her "language" skills at school.
Is she going to need another weekend away to help catch these people?
