It seems there's a definite bug for people accessing the SDL using Internet Explorer 9 as their browser. Looking into this with the software developers, but for the time being, members wanting to post fic or write reviews etc should, where possible, use a different browser (ie Firefox, Opera etc, or an earlier version of IE).

I have fiddled around with how stories are displayed, and they should now be in a clearer font in a narrower page. It was a bit hacked, so if your browser does funny things with it, please comment with details!

I will be away on my hols until 13 June, so please bear in mind if there are any problems before then they will have to wait! I will have my trusty phone for checking in, but I can't promise there'll be 3G where I'm going...

Just to let you know I've rewritten the submission guidelines so that they are specific to the Sally Denny Library (you can check them by clicking on Rules in the top menu).

Huzzah! Let us all rejoice! Notifications (an email to tell you if a favoured story has been updated, or a favoured author has posted something) are now sorted. If you want to receive notifications, go to Account Info > Edit Preferences, and tick the notifications box. This will send an email every time something in your favourites list is updated. There are links on every story to either "favourite" the story (ie it's a work in progress, and you want to know when the author posts the next chapter) or the author (if you enjoyed the story and want to know when the author writes another one). To see who/what you have in your favourites list, go to Account Info > Manage Favourites.

So, hopefully this is a little cheerier! I am also working on a larger-font option for those who have difficulties with their sight; more anon.

Categories have been reset to just the main fic houses, and the additional tags turned into classifications. When you post a fic (or edit a previously posted fic), select the house into which the fic should go, and then you can choose options for the period in which the fic is set (ie Tyrol, Future), where the fic is set (ie St Mildred's, Glendower House), and the genre of fic (ie Romance, War). Do bear in mind that you can choose more than one option.
